Online Practice April 21 – May 2, via Zoom

Dear Sangha,

I hope you are well both physically and spiritually. I suspect that, like myself, you feel that “shelter in place” has been going on for a long time. Hopefully as we create online dharma events, we can accept being physically distant and socially draw closer.

Since I can’t make my customary April visit to N Ireland. I would like to offer you some online options:

My suggestion is that next week (Tuesday April 21st through Saturday 25th) we meet online at 7:30 pm Belfast time (19:30) and sit together. I’ll make some brief comments about practice and then we’ll have a dharma “sharing circle” (i.e. after some opening remarks by me we will each share our experience of practising with the mindfulness theme of the day).

Then the following week (Monday April 27th through Saturday May 2nd) there will be a morning online sitting led by Djinn at 7 am Belfast time (07:00), and in the evening at 7:30 pm Belfast time (19:30) we will sit and I will give a dharma talk. During the day each person can decide how to make that a practice day for themselves. We can discuss what that might entail.

We will offer these events on a donation basis. The centre relies on the income from sesshin to help cover our operating costs. You can find details about how to make a donation here: https://blackmountainzencentre.org/donate/

Please email Djinn here if you wish to participate and we’ll send you the internet link to the event.

Warmly,
Paul
