We’re delighted to announce that for the first time in three years, Paul Haller is planning a trip back to Northern Ireland. We’ve booked the Tobar Mhuire retreat centre, pictured above, 25 miles from Belfast (find more info here). It will be approximately £475 for the full five days and £250 for the weekend only, in shared rooms (single rooms may be available, depending on numbers, for an extra £15 per night). The rooms are lovely, all en-suite, and the chef is rubbing his hands in glee at the prospect of five days of vegetarian or vegan cooking.
We’ve already had many inquiries and rooms are filling up quickly, so please let us know by email if you’re interested in joining us for this precious opportunity.
Our guiding teacher Ryushin Paul Haller will attend zazen every morning from Monday, September 3 to Friday, September 7, and will host a sharing circle (with green tea!) in the zendo after morning service. He will attend evening zazen on Tuesday, September 4, Thursday, September 6 and Friday, September 7, followed by a dharma discussion or talk. On Saturday, September 8 he will offer two workshops, The Heart of the Zen Way and Beginner’s Mind from 10 am to 12:30 pm, and Essentials of Zazen from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. On Sunday, September 9, Paul will attend morning zazen at 10 am, and give a dharma talk. Sunday afternoon he will lead a workshop To Study the Way is to Study the Self, from 1 pm to 5 pm.
